Legislation About Safety Shoes EN ISO 20345: 2011.
All AES safety shoes comply with the EN ISO 20345: 2011 safety standard.

There are 7 safety standards for work shoes and safety shoes, SB, S1, S1P, S2, S3, S4, and S5

The letter "S" is the abbreviation of "safety" and implies that these shoes must comply with the Safety Shoes standard (safety shoes).
The standard for this is the EN-ISO (20) 345. This prescribes, among other things, that shoes must have a protective nose that offers protection against mechanical damage to the forefoot.
This means that with an impact of 200J no damage to the forefoot may occur. Within the standard you have different categories, which we briefly explain below.

SB: Safety shoes for professional use with protective cap tested on an impact of 200J.
S1: Equal to SB + antistatic properties + energy absorbing heel + closed heel

S1P: Equal to S1 + Antiperforation midsole

S2: Equal to S1 + Water-repellent and water-absorbing upper material

S3: Equal to S2 + Antiperforation midsole

For the protective shoes EN-ISO (20) 346 and the work shoes EN-ISO (20) 347 this is almost the same,
with the protective nose as the most important changing parameter.
It only has to offer impact protection in protective shoes, while it is non-existent in work shoes.

Impact of 200J (Joule), what can I imagine?
1 Joule is the amount of work needed to raise a weight of 98.1 grams a meter.
(That energy is released when you drop that weight on your toes) 200 joules = 20 kilos
